Superb quality in the construction of this Arts & Crafts oak box settle by Shapland & Petter of Barnstable c1900. Moulded top rail with dentil cornice, panelled back with the central panel carved with mythical dragons and birds. The seat with hinged lid to reveal storage below and raised on bun feet. The settle is catalogued as object number number 1217 in the Shapland & Petter archives (seen on image). In good condition.
