A magnificent large Persian 1930’s Serabend rug.
Made from lovely soft natural wool on a cotton foundation this is just a stunningly beautiful piece, well-drawn with an intricate all over design set in a rich blue field. The border is of simple yet intricate detail, in contrasting lighter colours, of course all derived naturally from vegetable dyes, allowing this beautiful rug to retain its rich colour.
It is in very good condition for its age with one minor old repair, a perfect room size furnishing rug with elegant Persian style, suitable for normal domestic use.
With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non-slip underlay, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
All our rugs are dusted and professionally hand washed at our specialist premises, ready for use.
