A beautifully crafted mid‑century sideboard by A.H. McIntosh & Co., Kirkcaldy, made from richly figured rosewood. To the left are three graduated drawers, the upper retaining its original red‑felt lining and dividers for cutlery or smaller essentials. At the centre, twin cupboard doors with sculpted round pulls open to a generous storage compartment. To the right, a full‑height cupboard reveals a wonderfully practical interior: a drop‑down door supported by brass arms, opening to a pull‑out shelf with a black surface — ideal for serving, preparing drinks, or organising taller items.
The interior workmanship is unmistakably McIntosh, with clean joinery, smooth drawer action, and the maker’s metal label fixed inside.
