Description
A fine Regency rosewood fold-over tea table, presented in excellent antique condition. Crafted from beautifully figured rosewood, the rectangular top opens to reveal a generous surface, ideal for use as a tea, card, or occasional table. The rich timber displays wonderfully matched grain and a deep, lustrous patina developed over two centuries.
The elegant frieze is enriched with finely carved scroll mouldings, reflecting the graceful lines and restrained sophistication synonymous with the Regency period. Raised on a turned pedestal with carved leaf decoration, the table stands upon a bold gadrooned platform base supported by bun feet.
Combining elegance with practicality, this handsome piece would sit comfortably in both traditional and contemporary interiors, serving equally well as a lamp table, occasional table, or compact dining table when fully extended.
