Circa 1880. Rare Sheraton-style inlaid zebrawood (Zebrano) side cabinet. The serpentine-shaped top with a central panel with exquisite foliate and shell inlay in other exotic woods, and with a satinwood, boxwood, and ebony banded fore-edge above a moulded inlaid front. The frieze with bell flower chains and acanthus decoration above a door with inlaid urn, ribbon bows, and bellflower chains. The sides with further inlaid panels, with inlaid canted corners above shaped inlaid legs. Exquisite piece in excellent condition.
