Rare Scottish basket-hilt artillery officers sword
A fine Scottish Regiment Artillery Lieutenant Sword, based on the early19th century Marked to the Blade for the Stirlingshire Artillery Vol, Also stamped J, Wood Blakey to Blade, Having a Basket hilt and ray skin grip, and copper bindings, blade 81cm long, single fuller, Fully engraved 3/4 length with a white metal scabbard.
Condition reports etching marks on the blade can be made out but are rubbed with age, (Additional photographs of the blade have been taken)Age fading to grip. Age surface marks to hilt and blade. Age scratches to blade. Age staining to the scabbard. Generally all-round good condition for the age.
