A stunning antique Tibetan Chang flask, skilfully crafted from copper and brass and decorated with Buddhistic Lions and other motifs. Chang flasks were used for brewing barley beer (Chhaang) or storing food and beverages. This piece has age and most likely dates to the late 18th/early nineteenth century.
Condition: Some wear commensurate with age, especially around the base and would have originally had leather strap handles (hence the holes on both sides) but very good overall for its age. A highly decorative item with a great patina.
Size: 35 x 25 cm, weighs around 3 kg.
