A rare copper engraving of Moai on Easter Island from a drawing by William Hodges (1744-1797). Hodges was the artist on Captain Cook’s expedition that visited Easter Island in 1873/1874. This engraving was published c.1784.
Condition: very good for its age, with some toning to the paper commensurate with age.
Size: approx 50 x 38 cm (framed).
