Rare Chinese LARGE HEAVY wood Stand Qing earlier label BATS

This is a lovely LARGE old and unusual Chinese wooden stand as shown.

I am not sure what the wood is but it is heavy, dense and has a wonderful deep red colour which I have tried to capture in the photographs provided.

It could be some type of cherry wood or mahogany but I am not sure.

There is some wonderful detailing such as the unusual shape feet/legs which appear to look like bats that are found on old Chinese ceramics.

The wood is HEAVY and sturdy, being designed to be used as a stand for a LARGE bowl or jar.

There is an old printed collector’s label on the bottom as shown with a dynasty or reign mark and collection reference number written in pen.

The vase or bowl must have been a very rare and valuable piece!

In very good, solid and undamaged condition as shown with just some minor marks.

This wonderful stand measures: 55mm TALL x 210mm DIAMETER

It weighs just slightly under 900g!
