RARE & beautiful PAIR Bazu Band AYATUL Kursi GOLD iron Islam

These are an absolutely amazing pair of gilded/gold on iron ‘Bazu Band’ or armlets worn by Princes or very wealthy generals when going into battle.

What makes these RARE are:

1 They are a pair – try and find another pair

2 The verse from the Quran has been PIERCED into the surface of the iron and then gilded (a layer of gold has been added).

The pierce work is of the best quality – this panel of calligraphy has also been shaped to curve outwards in a dome shape.

3 Inlaid – we have never come across any similar one with stone inlays – and just to show the quality of these, the maker alternated the use of the stones at the top, possibly to denote left/right arm

4 If that does not prove their quality – look at the links/loops/hooks where a strip of cloth or leather would be passed through in order to attach these to the upper arm.

5 It is very difficult to find any antique Bazu Band with Ayatul Kursi on them (please try!)

These are a very beautifully made pair of Bazu Band and would have belonged to someone very important.

Who else would have been able to afford to wear something so wonderfully made?

Each one measures 170mm (height) x 150mm (across from each loop/link).

A translation into English of the famous “Verse of the Throne” is as follows:

“Allah! There is no god but He – the Living, The Self-subsisting, Eternal.

No slumber can seize Him Nor Sleep.

His are all things In the heavens and on earth.

Who is there that can intercede In His presence except as He permits

He knows what appears to His creation Before or After or Behind them.

Nor shall they encompass Aught of His knowledge Except as He wills.

His throne extends over the heavens and on earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding

And preserving them, For He is the Most High. The Supreme (in glory).”

Their condition is remarkable and as shown in the images.

The loops/links have some rust but this is stable (we believe the previous owner has used professional grade conservation wax which forms a water proof layer on the surface).

The back of each one also has some rust which is also stable and does not affect their rarity, desirability and overall amazing condition.
