A cute old Oushak style Yastik rug of small size.
Hand woven natural wool on a wool foundation give this little carpet a soft yet strong feel. From the mid 20th century the old design has been well drawn and the muted colours, derived from vegetable dyes, add to the intricacy.
In perfect condition, this decorative furnishing rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non-slip underlay, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
