Oriental carved camphor wood chest, jewellery casket. This beautiful carved chest is made from camphor wood, for those of you who do not know camphor wood it is a hard wood which lends itself very well to carving and it has an excellent fragrance. The carvings are mainly of ships, trees and flowers, the chest is carved on every side, and has brass clasp on the front. The chest is in good condition, it is 6.5” high, 12” long and 8” deep.
