‘On A Country Track’ a watercolour with gouache dated 1912 by William Manners Rba – William Manners was a Yorkshire landscape painter. He worked in both oils and watercolours. His paintings often show rural English landscapes in typically English weather. He was born in Bradford and worked in Yorkshire for much of his life and then moved to the Lake District. He was elected to full membership of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1893. He exhibited widely including: Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Society of Artists-Birmingham, Manchester City Art Gallery, Royal Scottish Academy and the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool.
