This arts and crafts davenport is very much in the manor of Pugin and made from solid oak.
It has a very attractive carved shaped gallery and retains its original leather writing surface which does show some wear in line with age and use that adds real charm and character to this piece. The slope lifts to a gorgeous Birdseye maple interior. There is a single drawer to side with makers label. Supported by solid looking legs united by beautifully turned stretchers. A very useful piece of history with amazing graining and patination in great original untouched condition with a hand wax finish.
