A large carved and gilded rectangular mirror, retaining its original mirror plate in a simple carved and gilded slip with concave sections to the outside, each of the corners with a profusely carved foliate section including flower heads, leaves and C and S scrolls, the outer edge of the frame with a stylish carved wooden and gilded decoration, unusually the sides of the frame are chamfered in solid wood. Can be hung portrait or landscape.
