Made by James Dixon & Sons, Cornish Place, Sheffield.
A superb, large sauce boat, with a heavy gadrooned border round the top edge. A double “C” scroll handle with a feathered thumb rest to the top. With three pad feet, on shell shaped mounts. Overall length:- 170 millimetres / 6.67 inches. A real heavyweight showing that it is made with thick gauge silver – 337.9 grams / 10.86 ounces.
