Attractive Japanese Tansu chest made from elm wood in remarkable clean, original condition. The chest is of very solid construction and all the drawers run smoothly. The handles, mounts and other decorative iron ware are all original. Over many years of use it has collected some imperfections however these only add to its appeal as a very functional antique. Its rich colouring and amazing graining gives this chest real charm and character, a perfect addition to any room.
