The original French fully cleaned and serviced movement stamped for Japy Medailles D’argent 1844-1849,
in fully working order striking on a bell every 30 minutes, running for a week.

The fine carved walnut case fully decorated with flowers, leaves and berries, the top final carved with a bird beside its nest with 3 eggs.

The sides of the clock carved with simulating bark structure.

It is rare to find a Black Forest mantel clock I the typical French Rococo style.

With finely original brass fretwork numbering and brass hand.
All over in very good original used condition, with beautiful old patination, there are no missing pieces.
