HOPKINS HOBDAY HORSLEY (1807 – 1890)
A beautiful large signed oil on canvas by the Birmingham painter Hopkins Hobday Horsely. This work is signed, dated and titled 1861 verso. It depicts a view from Colton near Rugeley in Staffordshire and shows and extensive landscape with a hunter and his dogs with cattle and sheep. A beautiful example.

Hopkins Horsley exhibited in London at the British Institution and the Suffolk Street Gallery from 1832 to 1866 and at the Royal Academy until 1857.
