French Oak Hall Bench – SAI4166

A handsome French oak bench with a high, panelled back and richly carved detail. The top rail is decorated with scrolling and foliate motifs, flanked by turned posts. The solid seat lifts to reveal a useful storage compartment, and the front is finished with shaped and fielded panels typical of provincial French craftsmanship. The oak has a deep, even colour with a warm polish, highlighting the crisp carving. Sturdy, decorative and practical, it works beautifully in a hallway, boot room or kitchen.
