Circa 1970 A French Birdseye Maple bureau plat, the cross-banded top with tooled red leather insert, shaped frieze which follows the form of the top, with three drawers, each with stylish gilded brass Rococo handles, and a brass beaded frieze continues down the side of the legs, which are headed by four cast brass and gilded winged cherubs with foliate casting beneath, the all resting on cast brass sabots.
