Description
A superb pair of Chinese hardwood armchairs of generous proportions with loose seat cushion. Underneath the cushions the chairs have a solid seat which is traditionally found on Chinese antique furniture. The panel seat has a shaped carved apron and supported by square legs on a carved toes and united by H stretchers. The wood has a fabulous glowing patina throughout and is skilfully carved and pierced with Chinese decoration. Like all antiques there are some imperfections but these only add to the charm and character of these outstanding pieces of history. These highly decorative chairs have a wonderful rich colouring, are of solid construction and will look amazing wherever they are placed.
