This is a very well made cigarette case engraved with a wonderful design of a golfer with his caddy both in period dress.
The engraving is lovely, crisp and really well executed.
The cigarette case retains it’s original bands, full crisp hallmarks as follows:
‘d’ for 1903
Anchor for Birmingham
J R for John Rose
Lion Passant for sterling silver
Both part of the case are marked as shown.
This delightful golfing cigarette case measures 9cm long x 7cm wide x 1.5cm thick.
It weighs a nice heavy 90g.
It is in very good condition as shown with no damage or repairs.
The inscription on the back reads:
