Circa 1820. An exhibition-quality burr-elm circular breakfast table, the circular top with a Regular Tetradecagon (14 matching sections) in burr-elm with broad banding, all in the finest burr-elm, the fore-edge and frieze in the finest burr elm, the back of the table has been scumbled to simulate wood, resting on a large rectangular block. The triform stem with canted corners flared towards the concave platform base, supported on three profusely carved leaf-shaped feet with scrolling blocks behind, with the original concealed castors beneath.
