Fabulous Edwardian fire‑resisting safe with original brass fittings and a wonderfully timeworn surface. A solid, heavy example made in thick steel plate, retaining its original black finish now beautifully aged with wear, scuffs and traces of old paint — exactly the sort of honest patina collectors love. The front is fitted with a brass “Fire Resisting Safe” escutcheon and turn handle. The door opens smoothly to reveal a clean, pale‑grey interior with a single compartment and a small internal drawer at the base, complete with its original green front and brass pull. A decorative and practical piece of early security equipment, full of industrial charm and ideal for interiors with a vintage, workshop, or gentleman’s‑study feel.
