Beautiful Anglo Indian Silver Tumbler & Dish Set Ceremonial c1900
Here are a delightful ceremonial tumbler and dish set.
The tumbler is really well proportioned and has a decorated floral border along the rim.
When seen from the inside, it has a shimmering effect probably as it was hand hammered.
The small dish has some amazing, intricate scrolling motifs and a wonderful floral rim.
Each is in very good condition with just some minor marks/tarnish.
They look great together and may have been used for ceremonial purposes.
The tumbler stands 4cm x 6.5cm diameter and weighs 27.5g
The dish sits just around 0.5cm height x 11cm diameter and weighs 45.5g
Both tested as sterling.
Some minor wear as shown in the images: some tarnish and minor marks/scratches.
This type of tall, slender vase is prone to damage on the thin middle section (stem) but these have survived in remarkable condition as they have been well looked after and cherished.
