Description
Beautiful 100 year old Orientalist Painting Desert Arab Oman
This is a large, stunning and bright watercolour depicting a desert scene with the figure of an Arab with his camel exquisitely painted and a delightful mosque outline in the distance.
The artist has cleverly used the landscape orientation for the scene to capture the vastness of the desert.
The Arab appears to be pausing, after leaving the town behind and looking towards the open, vast space of the desert.
It was painted in the first couple of decades of the 20th century making it just over 100 years old.
It is unsigned but is of very good quality as shown.
The gilt frame is also of very good quality and appears to be original to the period that the watercolour was painted.
