Art Nouveau period silver and leather card case. Each corner of the case is adorned with silver that carries import duty hallmarks for 1904 and the maker’s initials D&I.
This would have been carried by gentlemen of the day. The interior has sections for holding stamps, visiting cards and possibly other paper items. It could certainly be used as a business card case in the 21st Century!
The clip to open and close the case is secure and the overall condition is good. It measures 13.7cm x 11.2cm.
