Antique Burr Walnut Marquetry Pembroke Table
A stunning antique burr walnut Pembroke table, beautifully crafted with an exceptionally figured burr walnut veneered top. The rich, highly decorative grain is complemented by delicate marquetry inlay and fine floral ornamentation, giving the table a particularly elegant and sophisticated appearance.
The oval drop-leaf top opens to provide a generous dining or display surface, whilst allowing the table to remain relatively compact when closed. It stands on beautifully turned and shaped supports with elegant cabriole legs, united by a central stretcher and finished with attractive brass castors.
A wonderful example of traditional English furniture, combining superb craftsmanship, highly figured walnut and decorative inlaid detail. This would make an impressive addition to a period home, country house, or collection of fine antique furniture.
