Rare Turkish Ottoman Empire Period 18th century flintlock pistol.
Antique mid 18th century Flintlock Pistol, Turkish Ottoman Empire. Wood stock with inlaid copper, silver (not tested) and brass furniture. Ornamental butt cap. Long tapering barrel, Octagonal at stock end, with incised copper decoration. The barrel has possibly been cleaned at some point in history.Very strong firing mechanism, all working correctly. Flint still in place and sparks when fired. Overall length 18″. Two stop hammer. Ramrod lost. Possibly given a protective coat of varnish some time ago.
