Circa 1970, an oak standard lamp by ‘Acornman, Alan Grainger of Brandsby, North Yorkshire’. Acorn Industries was started by George Grainger, a former Robert Mouseman Thompson craftsman, in the mid-30s. The octagonal-based standard lamp in the style of ‘Mouseman or Mousey Thompson of Kilburn’ with the classic carved acorn carved into the base, recently re-wired and tested.
