This is a magnificent Half Plate Camera from 1903 Made by William Butcher who was a Pioneer in the early days of Photography. He with his son, William Frederick opened a Business in Farringdon Road, London E.C. in 1903. Originally William Senior was a Pharmacist. He passed away soon after opening the business in December 1903, although he had started making cameras since 1899. His Son, William Frederick carried on the business, and later merged with another company forming the Houghton-Butcher Manufacturing Company Ltd. This Camera comes with some Plates and Glass Negatives from early days. It is a Beautiful Camera in very good condition. No pin holes to the Bellows. A JOY to behold–and to Hold and own!
