A stunning George Fox Silver Gilt Mounted Cranberry Glass Claret Jug or ewer, 1874.
In a bulbous shape the cranberry glass is overlaid at the neck with an intricate silver gilt pattern and flip top lid, extending down to form the handle.
Fully hallmarked on the top rim, it is in good condition for age with no major chips, cracks or restoration. To mention for accuracy there are some tiny pit marks that look like firing bubbles in the glass near to where the handle is mounted, please see photos.
