19th Century Mahogany Secretaire Bookcase SAI4328

A superb 19th century mahogany secretaire bookcase of impressive scale and exceptional quality, presented in excellent antique condition.
Crafted in richly figured flame mahogany, the bookcase separates into sections for ease of transportation and installation. The upper section is enclosed by four Gothic-inspired astragal glazed doors and fitted with fully adjustable shelves, providing ample space for a substantial library or the display of treasured collections.
The lower section is arranged with a large fitted secretaire drawer flanked by two deep drawers retaining finely cast brass lion mask ring handles. Beneath, four beautifully figured panelled cupboard doors open to reveal extensive concealed storage. The fall-front secretaire opens to reveal a finely fitted interior with an arrangement of small drawers, pigeonholes and a green baize-lined writing surface, providing an elegant and highly practical workspace.
