18th Century Oak Miniature Court Cupboard SAI4085

A wonderful 18th‑century miniature oak court cupboard, beautifully made and in excellent antique condition. This charming piece is especially appealing for its clever hidden compartment, discreetly tucked beneath the central drawers. Crafted from solid oak with a deep, warm patina, the cupboard follows the classic two‑tier court‑cupboard form. The upper section is framed by turned front columns and carved panels, with a small central cupboard door that opens to reveal two neatly fitted drawers. These drawers, with their contrasting lighter fronts and original brass ring pulls, lift out to uncover the secret compartment below. The lower section features two finely carved doors that open to reveal four additional drawers. All drawers run smoothly and retain their brass ring handles, offering practical storage despite the compact scale.As with all genuine antique furniture, there are small imperfections from age and use, but this is a solid, well‑made piece with a fabulous patina and strong presence. It displays beautifully and will sit comfortably in any interior, whether as part of a collection or as a standalone decorative accent.
