This unusual and intricately designed Edwardian style ring features , a central fine quality oval cut sapphire of 5 x 4 mm and approximately 0.40cts , in a yellow collet setting within an inner border of open scrolls and brilliant cut diamond set quatrefoil motifs,and an outer ribbon border of grain set diamonds.The diamonds are of F/G colour and VVS 1 clarity,and total approximately 0.30cts.
The ring is mounted in 18ct yellow gold with fancy split shoulders ,with a UK shank size of M 1/2 ,US size 6 1/4, and bears an 18ct hallmark for the Edinburgh assay office.
This delicate ring is equally suitable as an engagement,anniversary or simply a dress ring.
