15ct Gold swallow brooch encrusted with seed pearls. This is a very striking, good quality item. The 3 swallows are attached to a curving bar behind which is the pin.
Swallow brooches were very popular in the Edwardian period and it would date from around 1910. It was originally purchased from a Belfast jewellery store and comes in it’s original leather and velvet-lined box.
The brooch measures 5cm in length with each swallow measuring 2cm x 1.8cm. The total weight is 4.4 grams.
A lovely item of jewellery for someone special.
