Description
Presenting a truly exceptional and complete example of a Soviet ShM-1 gas mask, the standard issue protective equipment for the Red Army during the Second World War. This set is in pristine, near-mint condition, appearing virtually unissued and retaining its original crisp shape. The set includes the iconic rubber helmet-mask with its single circular eyepiece, the original corrugated rubber breathing hose, and the olive-green metal filter canister clearly marked “XII-90-29” and “БКФ”. The entire assembly is housed in its original khaki canvas carrying bag, stamped “ШМ-1” and dated 1940. The rubber remains supple and free of cracks, and the canvas is clean and undamaged. A museum-quality artifact of Soviet military history, perfectly suited for the most discerning collector of WWII Eastern Front militaria.
Original condition: Mint
