A handsome Georgian mahogany chest‑on‑chest of elegant, balanced proportions, crafted in rich timber that has matured to a warm, glowing patina. The upper section offers a run of smaller drawers over deeper lower drawers, all fitted with attractive brass handles and neatly shaped escutcheons typical of late 18th‑century design.
The mahogany shows fine grain and colour throughout, complemented by tidy mouldings and a well‑defined waist. The lower section stands on bracket feet, giving the piece a sturdy, confident stance. The drawers run smoothly, and the whole chest retains the quiet refinement associated with Georgian cabinetmaking.
