A handsome late 18th–early 19th century oak dresser, richly patinated and full of period character. The rack is fitted with two long shelves and a run of cup hooks, framed by simple uprights that speak to honest rural craftsmanship. Below, five drawers with turned wooden knobs and small diamond escutcheons sit above open pot-board storage, all raised on traditional turned legs.
The top is beautifully worn and mellowed, showing the gentle undulations and deep, glowing colour that only centuries of use can produce — a true working surface with the authenticity collectors prize.
