French Solid Oak Double-Sided Writing Table

Circa 1870. A stylish French solid oak double sided cabriole leg side table or desk, the shaped solid top, beneath the curvaceous frieze with foliate carving including flower heads, with two narrow drawers on each side with concave facings, large beadings and cast brass rococo handles, with a carved shaped frieze beneath which continues around the sides, the back of the desk with working drawers also, all resting on four elegant carved cabriole legs with profusely carved knees including a cartouche and foliate carving, finishing on a well-curled foot with foliate carving on the facing.
