Mid-19th century carved and painted wooden Tang dynasty horse This is a superb piece of Chinese Folk Art, superbly carved in wood, in the classic statue of this famous creature in a prancing pose This is a large piece, intricately carved in red and blue with a worn gold overlay, he is wearing a ceremonial saddle and bridle The Horse is in sound and though he has a few repairs as you might expect Our handsome statue is 43” long, 43” high and about 12” wide KW102. Manufacture Date : 1850
