Landscape painting with a forest brook was executed in 1860-1870s by listed British landscape painter William E. Jones, who was active in Bristol and as member of the Bristol Academy sent his works in 1849-1871 to London for exhibitions of the Royal Academy, British Institute and Society of British Artists.

Inscription: signed lower right.
Technique: oil on wood panel. Magnificent original period gold-plated frame.
Measurements: unframed w 12″ x h 8 1/2″ (30,5 x 21 cm), framed w 19 7/8″ x h 16 1/8″ (50,5 x 41 cm).
Condition: in very good condition, no inpaintings or paintlosses, the painting was professionally cleaned and is ready to hand on the wall.
