Classical marine painting with sIling fisher boats was executed in 19th Century by British landscape and marine painter Arthur Tomson (1858-1905).

Literature: on-line date bank artprice.com; art lexicon by Bénézit (in French) and by Thieme/Becker (in German).

Inscription: signed and lower left.

Technique: oil on canvas. Gilt frame of original period.

Measurements: unframed w 25 5/8″ x h 19 1/4″ (65 x 49 cm); framed w 31 1/8″ x h 24 7/8″ ( 79 x 63 cm).

Condition: in very good condition.
