Extremely fine portrait of a racehorse in the stable was executed by British horse and hunt painter Thomas Hillier Mew , who was active in 1850-1870s . His sporting and hunt horse paintings are represented in different international auction houses and galleries in Europa and USA.
Inscription: signed and dated 1871 lower right.
Technique: framed oil on canvas.
Measurements: unframed w 20 1/8″ x h 15” (51 x 38 cm); framed w 25″ x h 19 7/8” (63,5 x 50,5 cm).
