Carved French Oak Salon Throne Chair, Original Pictorial Upholstery This lovely old High Back chair retains its original hand made pictorial fabric back rest, this is in muted shades of rust and blush sculptured velvet tapestry, it is a romantic scene with a 17th Century mousquetaire and his young lady surrounded with flowers The Chair back is the only part of the upholstery that is original, the other parts were very worn so these have been replaced with new soft leather in a very similar shade and the seat springs have been repaired bringing this unique chair into a new and useful life The Oak show wood is carved in the French style The chair back is 44” high, the front is 27” wide and it is 25” deep WD28. Manufacture Date : 1850 Materials : Oak
