Oak framed Orkney chair, probably by’ David Kirkness of Kirkwall’, the oat straw back tied with marram grass on an oak frame, the shaped arms held in place by simple uprights, with drop-in two-tone marram grass seat, with the uprights and the arms fixed to the side of the chair frame, with s out swept back legs, front legs are tapering, the legs braced by conforming stretchers.
