Description
This impressive cast-metal fire back features a richly detailed relief centered around a bold crowned shield, flanked by sculpted heraldic figures and surrounded by deep, textured scroll work. Its weighty construction and finely modeled motifs give it real presence, offering both decorative impact and practical purpose when placed behind an open fire or stove. The dark, time-worn finish enhances the depth of the detailing and brings out its historic character, making it an ideal piece for period homes, grand fireplaces, or anyone seeking a distinctive focal point with authentic old-world charm. A substantial and striking example of traditional foundry craftsmanship.
