Carved Victorian Padauk Library Table SAI3075

A superb Victorian padauk library or side table, offered in excellent condition. The rectangular top is richly carved with scrolling foliage around the edges and sits above a frieze containing two concealed drawers, each lined with green baize. The table is supported by finely carved uprights and united by a beautifully shaped and detailed stretcher.

The quality of the carving is exceptional throughout, showcasing the skill and artistry of the Victorian period. With wonderful colour and patina, and finished on all sides, this is a true centrepiece that can stand proudly in any room.
