Description
A walnut wood sewing box with mother of pearl inlay on the top and keyhole side. The box is lined with purple silk. The divided pull out top section is removed not in two separate parts, but by grasping the central gold coloured wood section. This item may have been used previously as a jewelry box as there is slight damage showing around the keyhole area from a forced entry. The bottom tray measures 5cm deep and 24cm x 17cm wide.
